Looking to buy my first bike. I want something reliable and cheap but still have some swag points. I really like the look of this cinelli and I did some digging on the frame and sounds like it’s got a lot of good history. I know the infamous past of these spinergy wheels but they’re just too dang cool, I will definitely give the wheel a thorough inspection before purchase. What are y’all’s thoughts?

In its day, this was a cool bike. That day was a loooong time ago, though. All the parts are really old, and you’ll struggle to find like-for-like replacements. But I’d be most worried about the bond between a carbon rear end and the rest of the frame. If $400+ isn’t a big deal for you, go for it. Maybe I’m cautious, but I would not touch it.
