Just got a 2018 Boardman Comp, it has got a kinda gravel profile with its 38c tires. Starting to get serious on speed bikes, and i still ain't got bike shoes. As for the bike's past, it was for touring and bike trips.
Apparently i'm looking at a hybrid pedal?
I imagine i should get a MTB bike shoe so that i can get more confortable with them first, have a more flexible shoe.

It’s an Xpedo pedal, and I’d wager it uses Shimano SPD cleats. There are a handful of single sided SPDs; they just have never been as popular as dual sided to flat/SPD combos
