I have planned a 6 day cycle from Calais to Gstaad for late August. If you know the area/roads could you let me know if you think there are any problems with the route I have chosen (or if there's any great lunch stops en-route!). I know local knowledge is always invaluable! My bike is a road bike so apart from the odd short trail it needs to be onroad. I have already booked the accommodation so I can't change the end of day stops but I could amend the route slightly to avoid a nasty road etc;

Full route is viewable at: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/47716558 Summary is:

Day 1 – Calais to Peronne

  • Lumbres
  • Saint-Pol-Sur-Ternoise
  • Miraumont

  • Ambleny

Day 3 Fere-en-Tardenois to Chamouilley

Day 5 St.Maurice-sur-Vingeanne to Vaux-et-Chantegrue

  • Nantilly
  • Valay
  • Arc-et-Senans
  • Censeau

Day 6 Vaux-et-Chantegrue to Gstaad

  • Jougne
  • Ballaigues (Suisse onwards)

Thanks in advance for any comments, help or advice!
