  1. If you have any spacers on your bottom bracket, remove them, unless it’s the wrong size bracket. Also you have no crank bolt

    I just went through this with a set of Shimano cranks. They randomly started falling off one week. I torque them back and put locktite on them to help, worked for a few weeks and then fell off again. The aluminum spines on the crank arm will shear off first. I replaced the crank arm and that worked for about a week. Frustrated I went to a bike shop and had explained the issue and had them install the crank arm hoping my torque wrench was just out of calibration. That one last a week, the bike shop contacted Shimano and explained I went through 3 arms in dozen rides and Shimano warrantied a full crankset replacement. Everything looked fine on the old crankset so I’m unsure what the issue was but it’s been a few months now and no issues since the full replacement.
