    Yes you can. It looks like they would be higher. You can look up the specs for the model of stem and probably find an invert rise spec.

  2. Some stems you can, but this one’s not really designed to be flipped. Edit – downvote away, it’s not meant to be run flipped. But do what you want.

    I can see flipping a front load stem. Same forces either direction. Top load stems aren’t designed with that in mind. The screws are already under a high compressive load and the forces put on them are greater than what you would think. I’m assuming the stem is aluminum and if the threads are brand new it would probably be fine but I wouldn’t be willing to bet my face on it.
