Hi, has anyone done a route roughly following this line? I would like to be mostly gravel but I am ok with 50% being road. I am interested to hear what has been done already or if any routes already exist. Thanks!
I went across Portsmouth Caen then followed Seine river right through Paris, Burgandy, Vossge French Divide south, Toulouse Pyrenees then into Spain at Pamplona. When I looked to the similar route you’ve sketched I didn’t see much good gravel. I’ve road biked that route.
The Seine river is brilliant off road route. Simple easy no hills 😆 You can follow it for 100km’s. Make sure you stop at Monet’s garden.
You can find French Divide route google it. It starts Dunkirk. Reinforcing my view there’s not so much gravel on your proposed route.

Isn’t that mostly the empty diagonal? [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empty_diagonal](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empty_diagonal)
