Hi everyone, I just crashed with my Aeroad CF SLX8 DI2 2023 and there seems to be something rubbing in the headset. Upon close inspection I see something metal sticking out (see pic). The rubbing only happens when the front wheel is lifted and the steering is turned. When the wheel is on the ground, no rubbing.
Does anybody know whats going on? Thanks.

It’s likely the IPU chip. Turn the steering, look under: it’ll reveal a screw that holds the IPU chip. You can undo that screw and remove the chip, see if it’s been damaged during your crash. It probably saved your frame. Contact Canyon to get a new one.
See: [New Endurace CF SLX: fork/headset rub](https://www.reddit.com/r/CanyonBikes/comments/15yo0cn/new_endurace_cf_slx_forkheadset_rub/)
That’s the end stop of your steering. It’s also referred to as the impact protection unit. (per Canyon manual)
My guess is, that the head set bearing bumped against it very hard during your crash and created some metal shaving.
Either take the fork of to inspect, of have a bike shop do it for you.
