You do you boss if you like the klunker build a klunker. Who cares what others think.

Echoing the other sentiment, build what you want. That said, if you did build a klunker, you’d be really cool. Because klunkers are sick. Big tires, a nice low gear, and a coaster brake? Ooof. Perhaps the perfect bicycle

Love them.
Depending on the definition, of course… Radavist did that recently(ish).

I love them! It’s the mountain bike for people who like beach cruisers
I’ve had a couple of klunkers and loved them. They’re simple and fun.
What do you mean by “putting one in a fixie frame”? The sentence is nonsensical, as I don’t know how you’d put a cruiser-framed proto-mountain bike on fixie frame?

If you build it, they will klunk.

Tracklocross bikes are pretty similar to a fixie frame klunker. Though they’re fixed instead of coaster brake.
State klunkers have horizontal dropouts ideal for fixie and are 27.5 with a 1 1/18s headstem. Super modern bike setup while keeping that classic cruiser look.

You might be able to get one here: https://www.statebicycle.com/collections/klunker-bikes
the video on this page from 2012 made me want a klunker soooo bad (scroll about halfway through if you want to get to the trail riding action) – https://www.pinkbike.com/news/Video-Klunking-2.html
