  1. The seat post says you’re 5 cm deeper than the minimum. Being more conservative (“bottom of post should be beyond frame joints”), you’re still 3+ cm deeper than necessary. Plenty good.

    Is this a dropper post? Considering the space above the post collar, you could use a longer post with my travel/drop if you want to.

  3. Do NOT trust the minimum insertion markings on seatposts…….unless you want a broken frame. Those markings only take into consideration the needs of the post. Every frame will have a different depth requirement to be determined via frame design. On a frame like the one pictured, I always want a couple inches lower than the bottom of the top tube or seat stays…..whichever is lowest. As pictured, it looks perfect. Use your judgment…..I’ve seen so many snapped frames from not having enough seatpost in the frame.
