  1. CONGRATS you bought mt biking shoes, and those are for studs that go in the tip of your shoe for traction when walking in mud.

  3. Seconding moving your clear up, it’s very likely posterior to where your body is happiest to direct downward force through the foot, so you’re likely rolling backwards on the downstroke and rolling forward on the upstroke.

    Way back when, shoes would include the spikes. You can usually find the soft aluminum ones for football shoes or something. There are plastic ones that don’t last, SIDI makes some really good, thin, expensive ones I’ve used.

    I’ve gone away from those kinds of shoes, however, and I’m now on 5.10 Hellcats and they were one of the game changers for me. Would never go back to those kinds of shoes. I still have mine and they feel like 1999.
