I checked my hanger and it was a bit bent. I still have trouble getting all the gears working nicely. I assume this is not how a Shimano 105 (R7000) cage should look like?

LBS recently straightened out my hanger but couldn’t get shifting to work 100% and suggested a cage replacement, turned out that the only issue was that (due to bending the hanger back?) I had to set the L-limit again. This was on an R7170.
Good to know, thanks. I have most trouble second lowest gear so I’m pretty sure L screw is not the problem in this case. I’ll probably take this to my LBS unless someone can say that the cage is bent. Unfortunately it seems that spare availability for R7000 is not so great so I need to replace the complete RD if the cage is bad.
It looks bent to me. But I have ridden and worked on a lot of alder bikes, and you might be able to get it straight enough. It looks like both sides are bent in the center, curving towards the non-drive side. I think if you could bend them both a little straighter you would have enough clearance to get it functioning. It could weaken the metal though. I am definitely not an expert, but like to keep things going.
Do you have any problems with it? Because mine looks the same but shifting works good
How does it look from above? Sometimes there is a twist and not just a bend. Did you use a hanger alignment tool to make sure your hanger is 100% straight in all directions?
Cage is bent always, normal, as usual. If it’s not bent, it won’t shift.
