So there are these 2 models, one with DT Swiss Arc 1400 wheelset, and the other one with Mavic Cosmic SL 65. According to Canyon. Cosmic one is 10 gr lighter as 7.79kg vs 7.80kg for DT Swiss. Only real difference between these modals is the wheelset really. The rest is the same frame same groupset. But when I compare the wheelset weights. Cosmic SL 65 is 1750gr as a set, and Arc 1400 is 1580gr only. So my math says there is something off here.

Any ideas?

  1. If you add up the weight listed under components for the DT Swiss wheels they are 1704g. That model also has powermeter cranks listed. Unsure if the Mavic version has a powermeter.

  2. I haven’t done the rest of the maths but if the difference between 7.79kg and 7.80kg is 1g for you, then you’d need to have a second look!
