I ordered a Pinarello X5 recently and was excited to find a frame that would fit and was a nice color. The shop putting it together just sent this picture of a paint blemish on the new bike. They offered a $75 refund, which seems pretty low to me. To make things worse, they said the bike accidentally came with a smaller stem (80mm) but I can buy a 90mm for $100. So essentially I’d be paying $25 more to get the bike with a paint issue. They haven’t shipped the bike yet, so I assume I could still get a refund. I haven’t ever bought a new bike like this so I’m not sure if this is just to be expected or if I’m getting suckered. Should I look elsewhere, ask for a bigger discount, or just be happy and have them ship it out?
Picture below, sorry, I’m not sure how to get it to show up within the post.

Paint issue is meh to me. You can barely see that from what I can tell? The fact they pointed it out is a great sign of an honest shop trying to make you happy.
Smaller stem is a weirder issue. They’re missing a part? Figure it out…
Tell them you accidentally found a better match. Paint isn’t an issue but they shouldn’t charge you to fix the stem issue IMO.
