Should I take it? I was offered this bike for free and they said it’s a little 500 bike. I already have a decent bike and don’t have much space for another. Is this worth taking? Also I would like to know what year or history of the bike.

What does that even mean, “little 500 bike?”
Anyhow, this is a very low-end bike, all the road master bikes I’ve seen for sale have been similarly low-end. I would guess it’s from the seventies, maybe eighties. This would have been made of a very low-end, heavy steel (you can tell because it’s all welded together- only lower end grades of steel could be welded at the time) and will probably be pretty heavy, probably well over 30 lbs. This one appears to be a single speed with a coaster brake on the rear, so it’s done for flat land but not for hills. It doesn’t have a front brake, so breaking will not be fantastic. Monetarily, it’s pretty much worth what you are buying it for: nothing. But if you want an around town beater/errand bike its fine.
Grab it. If it’s an honest little 500 bike I’d want it just for that. Maybe only ride it to the pub but it’s great for that. I mean it’s probably not worth much just the little 500 got me wound up.
