Hey everyone, long time MTB lover but have recently wanted to get into some more road cycling. Was looking around and really liked the endurance cf 8 disc option, but they only have XL and 2XL on the site (the site recommends a L, but I'm right on the cusp of the two sizes, L and XL)… so a couple of questions:
-
I'm going to Carlsbad to try out their sizing, do we think the sale will still be on by end of day Saturday?
-
Obviously the sizing question, should I just bite the bullet and get the XL
-
Do we think the L will be restocked? I'm assuming it will be as it's not a "closeout" sale and there aren't any new equivalent bikes
-
I'd like to get clip on pedals and shoes – this is a completely new area for me and would like to spend less than $150 total (if possible?) any reqs?

Canyon’s endurance bike is called the **Endurace**.

Canyon will most likely honor the price for you. They are great at Carlsbad and will help you with size- they explained to me that they run big. They will give you a coupon for free shipping if that is not still running- they will let you ride all the bikes you want- bring your helmet if you want or they will provide.
For pedals I found a great sale at REI for some Shimano SPD-SL R550- they are the lower end but cost is right(weigh more than higher end). For shoes I found sales on some Shimano RC3 but you need to expect to pay closer to $200 for both items unless you find sales. I recently started road riding as well with a MTB background and am really liking it.
BTW- the pedals come with the needed hardware for the shoes.
Good luck and enjoy
I’m 6’4, 34 inseam, and just got my CF 7 in XL. Fits me perfectly if that helps you decide.
