Hi!
I have new Pathlite:ON SUV 6. I noticed that there is zero space between the chain and the derailleur part next to it. So when on the smallest cog, it is rubbing the plate next to it. In other bikes I see there is space.
Shimano Deore XT 12. Thru axle.
Should there be a spacer?

Chain can not even fall away from the cog…
isn’t the derailleur supposed to be on the outside of the frame? it looks like the derailleur hanger is installed wrong.
It could be the limit screw is allowing the rear mech to move to far down. On Shimano I think it is the upper of the two little 2mm Allen heads, try turning it a little both ways in and out and watch how the rear mech moves inboard and outboard.
From the picture, follow a straight line down from where the cable exits the housing, you’ll see 2 Allen heads there. That is your upper and lower limit adjusters
It looks like your cable tension is loose, fix that first. I had to redo the cable tension on my brand new Canyon. I have an 11 speed Shimano cassette on my Endurace and it looks exactly like yours. The chain is very close to the hanger. I’m guessing your high limit needs adjusting.
