Hi guys, so after accidentally making my chain slightly too short by following several tutorials to the letter, I managed to pick up another KMC Extra Light chain for £15.
So, picture 1 and 2 is the chain I thought was too short and picture 3 and four is the new chain I have just put on.
Which would you go with?

Picture 3 is better imo. I usually run the longest I can without slack in the top gear.
+1 for new chain length. RD looks overly stretched with the old chain length
Whatever one follows the Shimano chain sizing guide. Have a read up on it and derailleur setup. Kinda looks like your b-tension screw is too tight.
The 4th pic is correct. Next time you just need to post the 2nd and 4th pic.
It’s only need the big chainring by big cassette to judge the chain length.
3 is closest to correct
