Hi,

I've setup a dual lower setup cables on my gyro using two Odyssey SLS cables which have ball lug ends. These balls fit exactly in the kink myriad which is really clean as it's flush with no play at all.

Unfortunately, one of them starts to break up at the brake end after few adjustments, I need to replace it. It seems that finding a cable only without a housing with a ball end so small seems really hard…

I find some alternatives with a pear end like this but I'm not sure if it will fit.

Are there standard about these cable ends? I'm not even sure if the gyro has specific dimensions and what should I buy. I have a file to sand a little a ball end to make it fit but I feel that so annoying and buying a cable with a housing is so much of waste too :(.

  1. I don’t think you’re likely to find just a cable without housing that will have the appropriate ball end, some derailleur cables might have an adequate size ball. If you can find any cables without housing you can just get a set of odyssey Knarps, thats what was used back in the day for dual lower cables before odyssey, eclat and a couple others started offering cables with one standard end and one ball end. Doesn’t look as clean but works well and was originally included with the odyssey London mod which was the OG method of running dual lower cables
