Probably more about the wheels/tires than the bike. Fit the widest tires you can, and you should be OK.

I think Im just a little bit afraid because of the bike classification on the canyon website where it says: „Bikes in this category are designed for trips on paved roads, whereby the bikes remain in constant contact with the ground.“

Do you guys think Im to fearful?

  3. I have the 2021 Roadlite and I am not ashamed to say it: I have violated this bike. Especially on bikepacking trips I rode roads way worse than this. Till this day it didn’t flinch and now it’s my Zwift bike. Don’t worry OP, your Roadlite is solid enough. Wouldn’t do jumps with it but this kind of road is no problem.

Yes, have fun! I just stopped being a weenie with my CF Endurace and it has been SO much more fun, and the “damage” I was worried about on the frame from gravel being thrown around is practically nonexistent.

Sure, bike can handle it. Those tyres might puncture though. I put cx tyres on mine.
