PSA: Ortlieb ships free carbon fork protection inserts for Fork Packs

Ortlieb Fork Packs ruined some carbon forks in the past, including mine. Now, they added plastic fork protection inserts with new Fork Packs. Back in 2021 when I bought mine, they were not included. Apparently they minimise flexing and improve joint stiffness.

I contacted Ortlieb and they told me they are compatible with the older Fork Packs sold without the inserts. They said, the Fork Packs should definitely be used with the inserts on carbon forks, as they do not know what the quality of the forks is like.

They offered to ship the inserts for free to me. So, if you have some Fork Packs without them, get them for free now.
