As the title says, does anyone know if this looks like it could be revived? It has its marks and can tell its has been outside at some point. The guy is really bad at taking photos and the clarity isn’t the best, but I’m debating on doing the drive to check this out. The brakes and levers would have to go, but that seems to be the main rust spots other than the lugs.
I appreciate the help!

The paint job hasn’t been affected by the looks of it. That means the rust spots are superficial. It’s steel, and has enough lifetimes before retirement!
Yeah I say do it! Looks like a good clean would make this bike look like new. If the bike is too loud it might need a new chain but other than that looks good!
Save that Steamroller! Cool color too
Lilac Steamroller, go get it.
It’s amazing that you found someone who would part with this color steamroller. Buy it before someone else does!
Obligatory “make sure it isn’t stolen”
Look up “stolen surly steamroller” in your local Facebook stolen bike groups. I would imagine the person who would put omniums on this bike wouldn’t let it fall into this bad of disrepair. Nothing worse than finding out you just bought a stolen bike.
Wheres it at? I’ll buy it.
Lilac was the best color the steamroller ever came in.
Fuck yeah if it’s not hot then nab that sucker.
No reviving needed imo. Worst case scenarios need to refresh bb headset and hub bearings which is small money all things considered. If it fits you it’s a buy
