Probably, but you want to put helicopter tape in the inside of your fork because if you push hard your rim might flex enough to rub the sides

  3. Yeah give it a try. If it starts to rub go smaller you dont want to put a hole in the fork over time.

  4. It’s not the top clearance that’s the problem but the side clearance as wheels will flex when turning and the tires will rub.

But also the top has too little clearance.

What does the manufacturer say the limit is?

  5. I’ve had the little tire hairs rub my paint off, so I’d recommend cutting any that look close

The side clearance is more important as your wheels can flex quite far laterally.

  7. That’s the thing that makes me wonder. I measured the opening of my fork at 50mm as well as my chain stay and seat stay clearance and I’m seeing 50mm as well with calipers. But sizing it up with the my 38mm tires (39mm actual) it looks like i could barely fit 40mm tires in there

Sweet thanks folks. Happy to be running the Race Kings on here.

For anyone who has tried, any noticeable difference between the Race King Protection (Black Chilli) and Race King Shieldwall?

I’d be checking out chain stay clearance first before anything else.
