Fellow bike packers,
any advice on if this route between the above title is doable? Leg four of my wider trip that I have planned from Barcelona to Montpellier. I’ve scanned google street view as far down the mountain path over the French border as I can but there is then a sort of no man’s land area I can’t view until I am there. I managed to pick the street view back up again at a taverna that’s on my route & the road looks a little shoddy. Has anyone been over this way already? Any advice? I don’t want to go the road way & have to faff around with border checks.

Is that following EV8 and the Pirinexus?
If so, the section around the border (from South of Jonquera) heading North to Perthus (and a bit beyond) is like 15km of hardcore XC MTB territory. I just rode it like a week ago coming the other direction on 33c CX tires, but like, I race cyclocross and XC MTB a lot and I had an unloaded bike and exceptional fitness. The only two other people I saw were pushing their bikes.
