Btw, I see you use straps with those quick release tabs. How do they hold? On my camera their strings started to fray (mine are cheapos from aliexpress)..

This seems like a uniquely bad idea. Unless you’re riding indoor track, the vibrations are gonna damage the internals, perhaps even crack a lense. There is a reason why camera bags exist and why they are soft and padded, and not rigid wooden boxes.

Electronic components in cameras and most phones are not designed to operate on high vibrations environnements like on a bike. You will kill the camera in no time with this setup.
That’s why we heavily pad it in a bag, or even better, use the great stabilizer the human body is.
