[Music] welcome to the DTV food tour my name is Daniel I’m an American living in Germany and I help us military families live their best lives while being stationed here there’s a large community of Americans who live in and around the Stuart area so I had my local German friend Jessica who actually works on the base show me some definitely not all of her favorites let’s do it we are at our first place right now called the old Rogue Irish Pub [Music] okay let’s go with the I want to try you said it’s your favorite I want to try your favorite crispy chicken yeah yeah yeah mango Chipotle and the barbecue please oh yeah and which one is the mango which one is the this is the mango and this is the barbecue okay and this is the chicken burger okay this is from my new friend Emma yeah yeah thank you so we’re going to try the chicken burger here we go a ranch American ranch dressing that’s rare in Germany I know am two patties might be a little overzealous I might want to go with one patty but a little difficult to grab but it’s very tasty just a big burger that it’s very difficult to uh fun fact this place also does karaoke and trivia night from time to time so check online to see the schedule for that and whiskey tasting okay done we got move on to the next [Music] question feeling thank [Music] you welcome to downtown Stuart we are in the Heart of the City on farod straza which is a reserved Cyclist road designed to increase the attractiveness of the city they say that less traffic means more quality of stay this concept also increases the amount of space for outdoor seating which leads us to our next restaurant sit wine Stuart the self-exploratory cheese Meats local meats and then a little salt and pepper the side this is the oil that I’m tasting which oil is this this is a Greek olive oil but a really good one okay thank you speaking of wine what a great segue into the sto guard Wine Festival which happens between August and September this is actually a perfect time to be in the city for good wine food music and Good Vibes quick tip also downtown you can find the avocado show for some interesting dishes or across the street check out Weber for some delicious burgers next on our list we went to Il fres for fresh Italian they also have a takeout menu so you can just yeah it’s good but order from the window and take it away also close by this restaurant is Motor World and underneath that you can find Tower 66 for the best steaks in the world maybe not the best in the world but they do have pretty good stakes and this is a very familyfriendly area with Motor World being right there next on our list is the shun brow house which I’m definitely saying wrong and this place is massive definitely a good spot for going aways parties and celebrations although I found the parking situation to be a situation nonetheless you’re going to find fresh cold brewed German beer at this restaurant as well as some traditional German cuisine now if you’re looking for a more private restaurant off the beaten path German food I recommend the katm Bacher Hoff where you can find Highland cows in Germany now I’ve already gone over this restaurant in My First Look at stutgart video but this is just a friendly reminder oh yeah last but not least on this food tour is mar marus maritus maritus no matter how you say it the food is still the same delicious you’re definitely going to get some beach Vibes here I got the Caribbean grilled chicken sweet potato fries and of course we had to split some dessert well that about does it for the food tour we obviously didn’t cover everything just some local favorites if you’re looking for more information about the stugart military Community take a look at my first look video download my free PCS checklist to get prepared and we’ll catch you the next one [Music] oh
