So I was going downhill on unsurfaced trail when I heard a loud click. I dismounted the bike and found out that the rear wheel is stuck and not rotating. After further inspection I noticed that the fender is pushing against the wheel. I carry the bike home and straightened the bracket (shown in the second picture) as much as I can to free the wheel. I assumed that something got stuck between the fender and the tire and bent this plate out of shape. I rode the bike next day but it felt really wobbly.

I wonder if something else is broken. What should I check? Also is the angle of the brake assembly with the frame normal or is twisted?

Lift the bike and spin the wheel. Observe the rotation. Look from the sides as well as the back. Any dents/twists/wobbling? Also check for damaged spokes.

  2. is there air in the tire; If you didn’t just realine the brake pads, they appear to be in the right position; do check to see if it’s all tight and secure.

grab the rim above near the brake pad and push it left and right it shouldn’t have play in the wheel bearings, no wobble.
