Thank you so much for all of your support and donations so far, I can’t explain how much I truly appreciate it!!!

hi everyone welcome to geoc cycling again so new video we’re going to be going into Bulgaria looking forward to the next few days also a bit concerned about the climbing I’m going to take on got about 4,000 ft of climbing uh was what 1500 Mish if you are new to the channel uh basically I am cycling around the world to raise money for a children’s hospital uh great Orman Street children’s hospital um and the idea is that by cycling around the world raise money for this amazing organization and essentially they help children with varying conditions and needs and um for me it just felt really important to be had to go and do something like this to raise money for them if you’re not new to the channel and you’re returning um a big thank you for all your lovely comments and support so far it makes a massive difference and um also for your donations and everything again just a massive thank you for all the money you’ve donated and everything [Music] [Applause] it’s me and Florence say goodbye so have a safe journey it’s been a pleasure Florence did a handshake on camera make it [Music] [Applause] [Music] official first half climb of the day it’s going to take some getting used to doing the climbing again I’ve been spoiled in Bulgaria which is pretty cool onwards and upwards e an ATM made for Giants just leaving the town of vidden uh didn’t film much for the last couple of hours cuz I was basically Out of Water um I thought the town in Serbia before the Border would have a shot but it didn’t it was shut um for some reason it was shut till 6:00 p.m. so it must be like a bar instead and then uh I thought oh well the first town in bulgar be fine and none of them accepted card there was no ATM machine so it was a very long stretch without much drinking water and now I’ve got some very strange tasting carbonated water it’s like a lemonade they’re probably a clown wouldn’t even find very funny let’s get rid of this horrible liquid got some spring water here God knows what this is good morning another day uh just a change of plan while I remember to say I’m not going to go to safia I’m going to slightly Head East a little bit and climb a little bit later it’s a little bit less brutal less brutal being the word still a tough climb don’t know what this is but it’s like blue look at that something that hasn’t been a lot of fun for the last few days it’s just dog encounters works so yeah here we go there dogs everywhere man just look who I bumped into that’s a can’t talk that’s a view worth uh climbing for 700t of climbing done on cobbles all preparation for the old Turkish mountains eh hi everyone hope you’re doing okay just stayed at Steno Lodge just east of LOM um it’s run by an English couple uh called Paul and Sue and they’re just both really lovely and they said to me don’t worry about paying for today uh which I think is really lovely of them they have a really nice little sort of uh old farmhouse it’s an old house in a little village and I only found it cuz on Google Maps um a lot of people do cycle T through it there’s not a lot of accommodation uh and you’ll probably find that as you go along the danu um you’re pretty limited um most people have to resort just to Wild camping or hotels it’s pretty much your two choices um but these guys let you stay if you want to pitch up your tent which I’ve done um the two French guys have said to them just have the rooms you know a little bit older than I am I can take sleeping in the tent for the night uh so just a massive thank you to um por Su if they want to be on camera I’ll um have a little chat to them in a minute guys I thought I’d start off with the shout out to the names of the grand kids of both of Paul and Sue which are Edie um Lowry and Cameron just saying a big thank you to these two for looking after me um they let me save for free which I it’s really kind of both of them just the generosity I think is just amazing it’s been a really lovely stay it’s a bit of a home away from home really good um and I really recommend any cycle tourist coming through um It’s A really lovely place to stay Ikea furniture which we all think is very nice it sort of looks like an English home in some ways inside it sort of say um both of you have been really nice hosts and everything and just big thank you to both of you well we just want to say good luck with your with your trip it’s an amazing amazing thing you’re doing and we hope it all goes really well and you know goes smoothly yeah let see fingers crossed and uh when I’m back over this way I’ll pop over again and say you’ll be welcome anytime promise hi everyone just literally leaving now uh really honestly a lovely stay and again just the kindness of people is just amazing and just a massive thank you to Paul and Sue um they’ll be watching the video later so I had to say goodbye to the two French guys they’re just getting their bike sorted just come past a bunch of English cars hello how you doing today is going to be a long day over 3,000 ft of climbing today over 60 Mi or 100 kilm should be [Applause] [Music] fun going to be really honest really struggling today I’ve had what five dog Encounters in the last 10 miles upgraded my stick to this Beast one of them came running at me I pulled it out and it legged it into the bushes so I think the stick’s better than that stupid high pitch noise thing that was uh just didn’t do anything so oh the climbing’s brutal today it’s just continuously uphill and my legs are tired somewhat think I should have had a day off but too late now I’m not going back [Applause] just doing a 900t climb nice way to finish the day oh Christ today has been a day I can tell you that first uh solo wild camping experience see how this goes it’s quite secluded little area uh should be right for the night I can’t imagine anyone will care even if they see me good morning everyone hope you’re doing all right uh had a decent sleep last night just woke up it’s about 7:00 a.m. now um all packed up and ready to go also just realized I’m at 2,000 mil woohoo right everyone uh for my own sanity I decided to book into a guest house uh just before the climb I thought I’m not going to do 64 miles with another load of climbing today especially going through the mountains just over there uh I’ve launched the Drone up but I’ll do this in Reverse so I’ll talk and then I’ll show you some footage of the rides it looks like it’s going to be quite pretty for the next sort of 20ish miles to the town I’m staying in uh and then tomorrow I’ll do the climb um on top of this a big reason why I split up to two days just filming like yesterday just because I was in a rush sort of a rush if that makes sense it’s like you’re not going very far and fast because of all the climbing I just had to keep pedaling um and it really does take have a detrimental effect and what I capture on the camera [Music] hi everyone just arrived actually a really nice little hotel quite a nice little view bit of luxury after yesterday uh really nice little town actually you can tell this Region’s a little bit wealthier than the ones I’ve gone through uh something that’s been quite upsetting us is is just the amount of poverty especially in Northern Northwest Bulgaria good morning on the road and ready to go [Music] [Music] hey climb complete [Music] that’s reassuring danger zone uhoh it’s a bike path hey haven’t seen one of you in a while it’s bizarre I’ve crossed a bunch of mountains and it feels like I’m in a different country this is clearly a wealthier place or in from what I could see yeah morning everyone uh just leaving the campsite went there the idea St thinking oh I’ll just uh get a decent night sleep after all that climbing that didn’t go to plan it’s some Rose Festival here in Bulgaria uh there’s just loads of people walking roses on their head I thought oh maybe it’s some hippie festival or something I wasn’t too sure and then uh yeah so everyone was sort of energetic and and up to about 11:30 someone setting off fireworks uh and then and then in the morning some straight dogs wandered in barking and ripping the bins up so uh yeah I’ve not really had much sleep oh usually the way isn’t it I lay down at 9:00 I thought I’m going to just I can’t wait to sleep today I’m so tired and yeah and that all ensued so oh well one of the uh guys really nice him I saw them have massive bags of roses uh so they’re picking all the roses and he came over and gave me a bottle of Rose Water for
