First time I stripped, restored, and rebuilt and old bike. 1990 Trek 950 Frameset. Drivetrain is a Deore II Biopace. SLR Cantilevers. Shimano 8 speed bar ends in friction mode. Nitto Technomic 50mm. Crust Towel Racks.

Need to re-to the rear brakes after some steep and swoopy downhills at bike camp. And get some tape on the bars!

I never would have done this without inspiration from all the cool people on this subreddit. You all are amazing.

Glad to see one of your projects done! Just in time for long school holidays, right?

What bars are those? They seem to have a good combination of compact and classic looks.
EDIT: never mind, bars are Crust Towel Racks, must learn to read.

  2. Sick looking build! Looks rather similar to a Fuji Suncrest I have been building up at the moment. How do you like the towel rack? Looks so good on this build!

Also as someone who is brand new to using biopace rings (sort of just for funsies & since they were cheaper than other cranks) did you have any issues with chainstay clearance? Not sure if I just need a wider BB or what lol
