I’m nearing completion on the Mikkelsen, and have a tendency to start new projects before I’ve fully wrapped the prior one, so without further ado…
Up next is a 2010-ish 26” Rock Lobster SS frame, that I’m building into a coaster brake equipped “modern” klunker (geared rear wheel pictured is only installed temporarily in order to check tire clearance). Since I’m a huge fan of the song “Rock Lobster”, and this is a present to myself for my 42nd birthday, the bike is tentatively titled B-42.
The last piece I’m waiting on is a “souped up” coaster hub from the fine folks at Moné, more pics to follow once I start hanging parts.

oooooo the colors
Paul of Rock Lobster is a great guy. He’s based in Santa Cruz, and has been building cool stuff for like 40 years now. A lot of his frames are practical and traditional, but he’s not afraid to do a modern Schwinn from time to time:

Would be great to have a freehub with multiple SS cogs, you could get at least a 6 tooth difference with that super long dropout

I’m pretty sure rock lobsters are quite rare, rad! I think Radavist or bikepacking . Com did some stories on them
