Follow along to learn more about this small but beautiful country! Situated between Switzerland and Austria, this is Europe’s 4th smallest country with a population less than 40,000.
We start off at the Vaduz Castle and hit the trails to explore the landscape! We really enjoyed the hiking trail:

country number 10. of this trip Lichtenstein we’ve made it to our 10th country of the trip and my 20th country ever uh we’re here in Lichtenstein which is a small country between Austria and Switzerland uh Switzerland is actually right across the Rhine River over there we’re in front of the prince of lichtenstein’s Castle right behind me and we’re about to go on the princess way Trail it’s a beautiful country it’s a beautiful fall day the leaves are starting to change and I’m pretty excited for this hike okay so I did a bit of research on this country while we were having lunch turns out the current borders were set up in the 1400s it was kind of on the border between the Holy Roman Empire and the Swiss cantons the country has been neutral for the last 150 years or so last war they fought was actually the osteoprussian war and they were considered too small to be listed on the peace treaty so they’re technically still or with Germany but uh just some interesting history tidbits I always like to try to look up about the countries we’re visiting this way all right we are taking the princess way Trail today I think it’s about five miles and a little less than two thousand feet of elevation we heard that you can see these Lush Meadows at the end and maybe get some bikes to cycle back we’ll see either way it’s really pretty so far we just started and there’s some cute donkeys already on the path foreign Highland cows in Scotland donkeys in Liechtenstein hello monkeys can kick so you’ll be careful foreign gets a little bit precarious right here so once you get out of the forest the trail opens up onto this kind of sheer Cliff face uh it’s really not that bad of a path but the views to speak about standing don’t like narrow crafts with loose rocks what is that [Music] just a nice man playing accordion looking at it a beautiful deal of the Alps I guess he hiked up here a little more cable talk about overcoming fears we thought Rachel would be afraid of the Eiffel Tower this is our hike the more I confront them the better I get I used to get terrified now I get mildly afraid this helps yes thank you listen sign for the hand guard your handrail please be careful okay so we turned the corner and now instead of the sheer rock face we’re overlooking this beautiful Alpine Meadow this Valley there’s a longer Trail we could take and we do kind of want to take it but it’s a Friday so Zach needs to work tonight and we’re hoping we get to see a little bit more of Lichtenstein um and we can go back to our car with enough time while there’s still some daylight so taking the shorter Loop I’m pretty confident we’re not going to find a place to run bikes and I’m pretty confident you cannot cycle anywhere on this Trail so I think we must have misunderstood what we read online but no regrets that we took the princess way Trail it has been fantastic rounded another Bend found a totally new landscape or The Sunny Side so it’s nice and warm even with the Wind thank you okay so we are coming down the trail now the way down is a whole lot easier than the way up it’s kind of a gravel road take it in the recommended Direction so that you’re doing that crazy part on the way up and this Gravel Road on the way down but the views are still gorgeous highly recommend this Trail if you ever find yourself in Liechtenstein foreign decided to stop by and see the castle on our way back it’s golden hour so it’s really nice hopeful that we’ll get to see some cute towns on our way back but we also need to hurry because that needs to work tonight we are leaving the castle we’re headed back home so I can get some work done but first we got to make a bit of a pit stop so we’re in Switzerland uh it was just too tempting it was like a mile away and we’re not planning on hitting Switzerland on this trip so technically this makes country number 11 on this trip uh Rachel and I were here three years ago 2019. uh we spent a week in Switzerland and loved it so sad we don’t get to spend much time here on this trip only 15 minutes or so uh but it’s cool to be back in uh one of our favorite countries now back on the road because I gotta jump on a call for work

Incredible trail! I would love to try that the next time we visit Liechtenstein.
Gorgeous edit bud, music and these landscapes fits perfectly together! Alps here are stunning, simply and literally breathtaking!
Wow, Liechtenstein always amazes me! The mountain range up there looks incredible, what a fantastic adventure you guys had out there, so cool!
Nice presentation : )
We are headed to Liechtenstein in September, and I'm trying to convince my husband to do this hike with me (he's a bit afraid of the sheer cliff face haha). About how long did the hike take you roundtrip? And what portion of it was spent on the narrow cliff side going up?
