Frame bags with robust zips (like this lifejacket one). 3rd frame bag in 6 years just died, all 3 was the zip that failed. Any suggestions for longer lived bags?

But are you overpacking the bags and putting too much pressure on them?
How about a rollup framebag without zips like from ortlieb?
Roll tops all the way. There’s always a real temptation to overstuff frame bags.

These plastic zips are supposedly way less sturdy than classic wire ones.
Can’t recommend a brand of bags, but if you do buy a new one, make sure they have a YKK on the zipper. It’s a japanese brand that produces high-quality zippers and most of the better clothing/gear brands use those. It’s one of the first things I check before buying anything that includes a zipper.
Ortlieb is spendy but you pay for exactly this
My Ortlieb frame bag zip recently failed. All zips on frame bags are going to fail in time as whatever you fill the bag with, that weight is bearing down on the zip.
