The Nitto Moustache bars were great for when this was a single speed winter build, but decided they didn't allow enough upright + leverage for the bikepacking iteration.
Recently happily discovered that with ~10mm reach added, the Moloko bars put all my other beloved hand positions in basicaly the same position; minus the drop, plus the leverage!
l'd prefer to keep the bars as open as possible for hand positions, hence the shifter position. We'll see how it feels over the weekend.

Shifter position makes sense to me – I glove friction shifters/thumbies but hate how many potential alternative hand positions they take up. I’m switching to bar end shifters mounted in the horns of my bars (something I’ve seen moloko user’s do too) – might be a nice way to keep the old school shifting without using up any bar real estate?
Do you feel the weight of the Moloko bars? They weigh quite a bit; not that I care much. I ride only steel frame and forks so weight has never been a big factor, but when a handlebar weighs close to 800 gms, does it change the way the bike handles?
