Hi, hopefully somebody can help

New to me bike, not familiar with SRAM.

I have bought a larger chainring but looking at the bike it has become immediately apparent I'm missing some caps, further research shows one at least is a dub cap to help self extract the crank.

However on the other side I have a cap, but it doesn't look like what I've seen online? With 4 holes.

I'm a bit confused. What is going on here and how do I put right, please?

  1. Asleep_Detective3274 on

Use an 8mm hex key on the drive side, it should just unscrew, then you can remove the chainring, there’s also a small plastic spacer looking thing on the non driveside that you can tighten to adjust the preload on the bearings

  2. That looks to be a SRAM NX powerspline crankset. You just need to remove the bolt on the drive side and you’ll need a crank puller tool to pull it off.
