Well you didn’t have to go far, That ‘hybrid’ movement happened around 1990 or so. Only difference was it came with straight bars and cantilevers. The OG gravel bike, like what old Schwinn Excelsior fat-tire bikes were to the original Klunker/ MTB creation. Yeah you defintely did some good parts upgrades. And you captured that perfect moment with the mountains.
