Question: What is the appeal to riding on gravel?
I dig gravel bikes, they are as rad as any bike. I would just rather take my gravel bike on smooth single track in the forest, rather than some gravel road in a random field.
What am i missing here?

I recently heard about sweden, where they have gravel highways. I wish one day i can go on a track like this.

I have roughly .5 miles of pavement before I’m connected to 100s (1000s?) of miles of gravel. So not far for me.

I don’t have to go more than a mile before I’ve routes in every direction! benefit of rural England!

I ride 2.5 miles to get to essentially 50+ miles of awesome gravel: hilly, long range farm views, tunnels of trees. Michigan gravel.
