That is very tight and I wouldnt risk it. If a rock or stone gets stucked in there, next thing you might find out is that you probably would be lying on a hospital bed

I ride with even less clearance between rear tires and derailleur hanger clamp. But it is a road bike with slick tires and I try not to go off tarmac.

Measured 3mm? Fine. I just did a wet gravel race in Michigan with about 2.5 and had no frame rub. That said, we have sand, not mud, so nothing to cake and build up like in Kansas.
