I wanted a bike to leave at my MIL’s house to ride around town and trails when we come here every couple months or so for the weekend without having to lug the bike rack around every time, especially since the preferred family car doesn’t have the hitch for my rack. And I wanted it to be one of my few “finished” bikes, because there’s still stuff I want to do to the others. I’m here now riding around and realizing I’m really going to be sad when I leave it.. I’m not even selling it, just won’t be able to ride it as often. Anyone else get what I’m going through here? Also shout out to these CST (not sure what model) tires. They can handle wet dirt and pine needle blankets really well and still roll pretty darn fast on pavement.

I feel that! Have my “finished” 970 at our cabin since a couple months and it’s the perfect ride for the forestroads here but I absolutely miss it when back in the city… only good thing is, it pushes me to “finish” my current project so I have a nice bike at home 😀

The more I ride them, the more attached I get. If I just build one up and only test ride it for safety, not too much sentimental value. Though I have one bike that has been sitting in pieces for years that I could never part with, as I keep dreaming up ways to repair and rebuild it.
