I have a budget of 750-ish euros, I'm looking to buy a used full suspension bike for that money, I have 2 main options, a 2012 Canyon torque Frx 5.0, and a Jamis dakar mp2, I dont have a "riding style" my town is rural and urban, don't know how to explain it. I have goals of riding thru the city with friends and mostly just having fun.

The main problem with the canyon is that the gears are too high due to living in a mountainous part of Serbia, I will eventually have to swap the cassette.

The problem with the jamis is that it only has 100mm in the front, so I will have to swap the fork, the fork costs around 185 euros,

The Canyon torque is 770 euros and the Jamis mp2 is 600 euros. The bike market in Serbia is not looking really good.

I have linked both bikes and the fork I intend for the jamis.

  1. Do you just want a full suspension? because the riding you’re describing doesn’t seem to warrant a full suspension. When you buy an old full sus…you run into prob;ems finding parts like pivot bearings and suspension parts. Especially on a 12 year old bike. I’d take any newer hardtail over an old full sus….plus you don’t know what it’s been thru…I doubt it’s been parked for a decade. Just food for though…If you don’t need a full sus…get a hardtail…you will get way more for your money
