In May 2024, myself and my partner flew from the UK with our bikes to Basel and cycled to Amsterdam over two weeks.

I have included a route map at the end, but we initially headed East along the Rhine and down into the Swiss Alps, before rejoining the Rhine and cycling through Liechtenstein and a small section of Austria. We then headed along the South side of Lake Constance towards Rheinfall. From there, we entered the Black Forest of Germany and later crossed into the Alsace region of France via Strasbourg. We spent the final few days making our way North through Luxembourg, Belgium and Netherlands.

We did travel some of Eurovelo 5, 6 and 15, but it was mostly a bespoke route we created ourselves. The variety definitely kept things interesting throughout.

    We use kilometres in Europe.

And also the rest of the world for that matter.
