Going back and forth between these two VERY different frames to build up. I currently ride a steel Kona Rove and love it, but want something with wider tire clearance that I can do the Great Divide trail on next summer. I do a good mix of road and gravel during my normal rides and some gravel racing. With my Rove I can hang around in the top 25% of most races and like to go fast, but I don’t see myself ever being actually competitive and don’t have a huge desire (or ability) to win anything. I really like long days in the saddle and am interested in doing more endurance and ultra endurance events.
Both frames have geometry similar to my Rove and great tire clearance. The main difference being the material and big weight difference. I’m already pushing my budget and want a really quality frame that will last me many years. I know the Flaanimal will be a super solid, reliable frame, but I’ve also have seen/read that the G21 is a well construction carbon frame even though it’s coming from China. The G21 also comes with a seatpost and integrated cockpit. My list of pros and cons has gotten a bit too large lol.
Would love some input!

The Rodeo is amazing in person. I came super close to getting one this year.
