Broughty Ferry new cycle path / high tide / what an embarrassement.

An afternoon stroll along the new cycle path at Broughty Ferry. A small museum and embarrassment of the year!!

well it’s a very good afternoon it’s a bit windy people it’s a bit windy yeah we’ve come out we’ve come out the house I was lying there watching the thing about the Battle TR falga which is actually quite interesting very good indeed um but I need to get out about and do something so we’re coming out I think we’re going into into Bry Ferry and we’re going to look at the new cycle SL walkway Esplanade pathway thing they built so we’ll see what that’s all about come this is a really high high tide today look at this look this this is far up the uh up the beach for four man so this is a new uh esan the new pathway cway thing they built down here good actually M here Branch off cycopath there see else we got CLA dance Holly Cooper George Adams Joe and Thompson I think we C bit with to count right up here is the uh Pavilion I you call a pavilion where we used to uh play play football the other side of foot what’s this thing here what’s this this is some sort of bike some bike repair station it’s got of excellent It’s got L of screwdrivers attached to it unfor this DNA AG just all connected it’s got pump very good excellent that’ll be for putting your bike on there brilliant good thing to have yeah yeah so this is the uh the got some nice benches in there there nice sturdy wooden benches park bench is not quite a park bench but it’s yeah awesome once again they are bolted in WoW they’ve done it nice here got the brick work all sort pointed and done excellent and then around here we have uh yeah this used to be the goal this is used to be the goal and out there was the uh the football field goodness me yeah got nice nice just to sit here and chill with a a coffee and a a s brilliant yeah is it nice so here we on the new cycopath that they’ve uh built from this the local Sandstone there’s the road down there so you got quite a big division so you can cycle in safety all the way along right down to the castle they got the the rock garden behind the BYO Rock Garden been a few times very nice to sit and chill in the gards there this is turning into a tourist information film about Bry furry and the CH the changing face of Bry Ferry that’s what we’ll call this one yeah right halfway along then we’ve got this nice uh new car parking area there’s your your blocks of flat down there that used to be the uh the S disco it is all the I think was called the sh before that or something the sand disco going to be some more parking down here but looks of things we got a big boat coming in down there what’s this all about it’s like the thing down at uh ready Jam right folks we got an interesting plinth or not plin uh a sculpture down here excellent It’s a lighthouse uh to the guy who helped Robert Stevenson build his lighthouse where he he did the the refractor things the lights in combination with uh with Stevenson so it’s good to have that I don’t know that the guy was born in broy Ferry Thomas Smith so this is kind of like a a tribute to him excellent got little bit of a poem yeah brilliant stuff love it very good indeed yeah I think that’s the same as the it’s a bit Rusty it’s meant to be like that it’s the same as the ones in the uh down in Lo here at the Mill about the mill WS must be from the same sort of guy same sculpture yeah very good indeed right here we are at the other end of the uh this walkway cycle path which is uh the castle end there we go there’s work getting done here so looks like the foot path is closed all right okay that’s a pain we have to walk around it no problem there some sculptures some [Music] Dolphins some dolphins sculpures good about to get food oh all right man okay no problem sorry we chased off the site folks cuz we got no fist on okay never mind all right we’ll go the way can you leave please you ain’t got no V on mate that’s okay no problem nothing is a problem no problem moment this a the tree that must t m maybe wow it’s at the mental Dental this morning and the numb thing the numb stuff’s worn off and know I really saw really throbbing away there they were right in my teeth of the doxic Kevin Davey awesome man he’s good man must give him us Jew but yeah so water is uh the highest I think I’ve ever seen it man I must say wow why is it so high What’s happen is the moon further away from the earth than it’s ever been or something I it very high I tied go so the path runs all the way along to the uh the foone box and it goes further on right on down the little fishing Street Fisher Street and it goes all the way along to the walkway and so we’ll walk along here SP this is the old fishing communities first s little Cottages here they always to come out here and go fish in the wies would push the boats out help them they come back with a catch and gut the fishing all happened right here right on Fisher Street Ambrose Ambrose Street yep all happened right here this is a thriving fishing Community back in the day you come down here the washing will be out the fish will be gutted all the way along you know these little homes would have smoke brother have their GES as they uh as the fishermen came back from the daily catch they’d all be up up for the early tide and then back in let’s see what’s been washed on look at the sh one camea look so it goes all the way along past life but house and all way down but we leave that one for another day right I’m going to walk in to uh broy fairy now or the fery as they call it and uh get myself a coffee a coffee coffee [Music] carefully do the smallest Museum no way I got a coffee from this new shop ma m m House of house from from house don’t knowen amon’s house isn’t it so any so we got this Cao coffee Ox fat no all right folks what an absolute embarrassment there I dropped my coffee all over the floor Ox fat um so I’m going have to go get another one now honestly they go back to that shop and tell them all I just go to Greg and get a sausage while I’m hungry as well honestly I can’t believe I did that what TW was Wast A380 man honestly kill embarrassment I just left the the lady clean was I kept apologizing but she was like very nice about it all oh dear I did yeah embarrassment of the week embarrassment of the month J like picture folks I’ve redeemed myself with a a coffee from I was going to go back to the other place but just got one from Greg’s coffee and a sausage or 270 man excellent value a really nice late afternoon stroll man really enjoyed this just a quick simple walk around the ferry with one massive embarrassment there’s always something always happens man I tell you you never get it easier right this is long Lane it’s 8 of a kilometer long I did do a video where I walked along the entire length of it there it is almost a kilometer from one end there to the other end right down there but we’re going to walk back along the uh the cycle path and back to the car now so thank you for watching everybody and we see you soon then you think [Music] [Music] you
