Hiya,
I'm going to be bikepacking in Indonesia in August. I only want to bring one pair of shoes, to pack light (+ maybe some very lightweight sandals). I'm not sure what people would suggest? I'm debating something like this: https://www.keenfootwear.de/en/collections/sandal/products/womens-hyperport-h2-birch-plaza-taupe or some simple but supportive sandals like tevas, but heard the quality has gone down recently. My feet tend to get quite sweaty.
Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks

Chacos are heavy as all be but have really good arch support if you want a one and done sandal. Typically if I’m going flats, I just rock some kind of approach shoe (currently something from BlackDiamond I found on sale) and keep a pair of Bedrock sandals around I’ll pedal in occasionally but are mostly there to swap into off bike. I’ll wear the Bedrocks for day trips but a little more support is nice for longer rides.
I have the keen Newports and I quite like them. Good support, good durability, and comfortable. I will say however they will inevitably be sweaty, especially with no socks.
It would work. Don’t forget long socks if you would cycle in the wilderness, there are leeches.
