Spent some time last week adjusting my rear derailleur as some gears were a little slow to change. Went for a test ride and snapped my chain……ended up buying a new chain as it had been a while since I replaced my last one.
Now whenever I put load on the pedals I get a constant crunching/popping sound and utterly feels like the chain is skipping teeth on the rear cassette. Doesn't happen in 1st 2nd 8th or 9th gear, but everything in-between it skips.
Changes gear without issue so I feel like it's indexing OK, anything else I'm missing?

Classic signs of a worn cassette. Time for a new one.
A new chain skipping on an old cassette is usually an indication that it’s time to replace the cassette.
Cheers for the reply’s! Is the wear visible by eye? What should I be looking for? Or is it something you spot by feel/symptoms like this?
I may be wrong, but that chain looks a little short to me.
