Hi, can anyone tell me the year of this bike, also any history and facts I should know? I know it’s from the 90s and made with high quality steel…. That’s all I kno… and any cool upgrade anyone think I should do? I want the forks black and black rims, please help me with any suggestions you haves It was gifted to me, I want to build it and gift it to someone as well.. it’s a 26 in, I want a 29er :p, please help me make this a bada** 26 in!

Tending towards a late 1993 with the XT M737 rear mech and parallax hubs released in 1994. Jamis bikes don’t change much mid 90s, see this 1996 Diablo LE for comparison: https://www.reddit.com/r/xbiking/comments/17lgnld/hello_from_tyrol/, but yours has a threaded stem and presumably some kind of canti hanger or bridge, which makes it pre-v-brake.
The 1994 M737 might be the difference that the LE makes over the standard Diablo – whatever last-season frames left in inventory were made more attractive using the newest components available at the time. There aren’t any Jamis catalog scans from the time that I can find.
