Just replaced the front derailleur cable, firmly attached the rack to the seatpost bolt, added a bottle cage, panniers, and bell, and repacked the bottom bracket and front hub! It rides so nicely. I’ve done about 20 miles with it now. No back or arm strain in the drops and nice tight handling. Once I get a freewheel removal tool and new axles, I will replace the bent solid rear axle with a QR one, and probably replace the brake pads with new salmon Sunlites at the same time. I also plan to add bar end lights and possibly a front rack.

Ironically enough my second trip on this was to pick up a free Panasonic cordless telephone system.
Sure is nice seeing a Panasonic. I have two myself. Those are great bicycles.
