Discovered my rim is cracked. Is this the result of over tensioning the spokes? No cracks around spoke holes. Only along the rim like this in a few spots. Stans Crest ZTR MK4.

This rim looks like it’s taken a large number of strikes with an underinflated tire… rocks, curbs, or something. There are scars all up and down the edge, and a sizable crater next to that spoke hole.
I would say it’s been overstressed and is starting to fail; maybe that’s the thinnest part of the extrusion in the center.
