Hey all!
Saw this bike on a swiss second hand page and need some help figuring out if this price of CHF3600 is fair or stupid.

I‘m looking for a steel gravel frame(future bikepacking build) so this would be nice but I checked the Fairlight website and this would go for about £2500 brand-new as I understand so I don‘t really get how they ask 1000 more. I also saw that even if you reserve your bike now there‘s a waiting list until September 24 so this adds to the price I guess but still…

Maybe I‘m missing something, thanks a lot! 🙂

I don’t think you’re matching the specs right. That wheelset alone is like $2200 new

It’s the wheels, they’re aftermarket and don’t come with any of the listed specs on Fairlight’s website.

  3. There are some truly high-end components in that build.

Those are very light carbon fiber wheels to have 25 mm internal width.

That Syntace P6 HiFlex seatpost is something like 250 euros normally. It’s one of those fancy posts that has an unusual amount of flex built into it.

However, 3600 Francs still does seem like a lot. That’s a cheap frameset and a very ordinary groupset.

  4. Haha welcome to Switzerland, land of 5-10k bikes that have barely been ridden for sale 🤪

Crying in Canadian when you pay almost that much for an entry level carbon Diverge…oof.
