Howdy all.

I’ve been trying to fine tune the adjustment of these cleats for the past little while. Wondering if anyone has tips on how to get a pretty good position right from the start.

I’ve read most of the articles saying to start at the back and then fine tune from there but I find it uncomfortable on longer rides, as well as getting too much toe overlap. Is the toe overlaps just something I’ll have to deal with I guess?

The positioning varies by shoe model but a neutral fitting is best when starting out. Start in the middle with the cleats ever so slightly biased towards the pinky toe to prevent pigeon footing.

You can also google neutral cleat placement for some better info on it.

  2. Why was it uncomfortable when the cleat was all the way back. Moving your cleats essentially changes your leg length which can effect saddle height. If you got knee or saddle pain from your cleats being all the way back it’s likely your saddle is too high

Toe overlap should only matter at very low speeds and shouldn’t impact your fitment otherwise
