Can you please help me with the decision? There is a last one madone sl6 gen7 in my lbs in my size. I was not planning going there, but was nearby and just went to check if the gen8 is already there. Not that I am interested, just wanted to see how it looks (thin tubes are not to my looking). The problem is I really fell into that gen7 crimson red, told them that I am waiting for aeroad 105di2 and those fkers said "okay, we give you the same price as the aeroad". So now I am doomed. Hate the bontrager elite wheels, as they are not straightpulls and probably heavy as an anchor. There is no power meter. But the looks, and the lifetime warranty + lbs just by the corner. Really don't know what to do.
Am I missing any of an performance (as the tour tested SLR couple of watts more than CFR) or I am not going to feel any difference – I am weekend warrior, flat area, like it fast.(50km X2/3 a week).
Any ideas? I don't think the bike will last long there with that price, and I feel pressure because of that
