Got a tiny puncture on my tyre. I would have expected my tyre sealant to take care of it. It kinda does if I inflate to max pressure and move the tyre around, but it always deflate again in a few hours, and the air leak is again on the same spot.
I already tried adding extra sealant, but it didn't solve it.
What can I do to salvage this tyre? Can I put a patch inside the tyre, or that's not gonna work well with the sealant?
That's the sealant I'm using: https://us.muc-off.com/products/tubeless-sealant Anyone has experience with it here? Should I try a different one?

I’ve got a new setup with Panaracer gravelking slicks.
About 200km in, there’s a tiny pinhole in the sidewall right near the rim and I’m not seeing sealant doing its thing.
You can patch the tire on the inside. Clean the area thoroughly then rough it up with some sandpaper. Use a regular glue patch, apply glue to the tire and the patch and let them dry for 5 minutes, then stick them together. I like to use a Quick Clamp to apply pressure while it dries.
As far as sealant is concerned, the Muc Off stuff isn’t great, especially for higher pressure tires. Orange Seal is my preference for road tires.
This kind of puncture is perfect for tubeless. What pressure are you putting in?
You could try patching, as u/mmlow has suggested. You could also try a ‘bacon strip’ style tubeless plug, and trim it down as smooth as possible once the sealant has cured in place.
I’d also try a different sealant. While I like Muc Off’s tubeless tape, I don’t know anyone who uses their sealant. Orange Seal endurance is my go to, and the Orange Seal line in general seems to be the fav for North American mechanics these days.

Silca’s sealant is supposed to be especially good for higher pressures, but I have no personal experience with it. I do respect Silca’s products in general, but I have some environmental concerns about their sealant – all that scrap carbon fiber can’t be good for the environment …

I have had poor results with muc-off on a road tire with road pressures (~60psi on 32mm) even with bacon strips. Patching the tire will work fine, it’s just annoying to patch (gotta clean the area thoroughly first, best to use isopropyl to get all the sealant off the area) and reinstall a tubeless tire. Make sure your patch is REALLY on there (good vulcanizing glue is important) since air will try to work its way out, and a patch on the inside of a tire doesn’t self-regulate in the same way as a patch on an inner tube where the air pressure is helping hold things in place.
I can’t say for sure that the Stan’s I switched to is for sure better or worse yet (no identified flats so far but it’s only been a month or so and I haven’t been riding as much due to heat), though it is deliberately marketed for road tires which isn’t the case for muc-off that I’ve seen.
I haven’t heard of anyone who likes muc off. I’ve had great results with Stan’s and Silca. Good luck.
